The story of Mohammed Saleem, Founder & Chairman | Trescon
Some stories aren’t just inspiring. They remind us why we do what we do.
Our Founder and Chairman, Mohammed Saleem has been featured in Gulf News, and his journey is one we’re deeply proud to share.
It began on the streets of India, where a young Saleem was selling SIM cards to make ends meet. Today, he leads one of the world’s most dynamic business event platforms, connecting innovators, governments, start-ups, and enterprises across more than 25 countries.
In 2017, he moved Trescon’s base to Dubai and launched the World Blockchain Summit, one of the first of its kind in the region. Within two years, it had expanded to 18 countries. A year later, the World AI Show was launched and has since been held more than 45 times across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and Africa.
From there, the vision kept growing. He introduced DATE with Tech, a multi-theme platform that brings together AI, blockchain, FinTech, cybersecurity, and more. In 2025, Trescon will launch CARE – Climate Action and Renewable Energy Expo, taking an active role in the global sustainability and ESG movement.
But Saleem’s focus has never just been about hosting events. It’s always been about building ecosystems where ideas turn into action. Whether it’s giving university students a platform at the Dubai AI Festival, connecting deep tech founders with investors, or launching ventures across FinTech, ESG, and gaming, the goal remains the same: create real impact.
That purpose extends beyond business. Through the Trescon Foundation, Saleem is driving education and healthcare initiatives from scholarships to building schools especially in underserved communities like his hometown, Mangalore.
“AI is like fire - it can cook your dinner or burn your house down,” he said in the interview. “The key is how we use it.”
For us, that captures his leadership perfectly: bold, honest, and future-focused.
At Trescon, we’ve always said we’re in the business of connecting opportunities. Leaders like Mohammed Saleem remind us what that really means.
